A free initial consultation. A comfortable working relationship is important for success. If it feels right, feels good… other things will fall into place. The complimentary session is a way to “get to know each other”. We will discuss your reasons for seeking coaching, your goals, concerns, and initial objectives of the coaching process and determine if we wish to establish a coaching partnership. Generally, we will meet in person for approximately 20 - 30 minutes. A telephone conversation is optional.

 

Coaching begins with an initial two-hour intake interview, in person, or by telephone. At that time we will gather information and background including:

 

Focusing together on creating clearly defined goals - where you want to go and what your objective is in working together. This sets a clear direction for us to follow and gives us feedback, telling us if we are “on-track” or off-track” and “evidence” to know when we have arrived.

 

Identifying your style of processing sensory information and your filters that “edit” that information. This is helpful in quickly building effective communications and increasing personal awareness.  We will also explore the efficiency of your flow of energy through determining the balance in your “wheel of life”.

 

 

From there, coaching continues at a regular time and day each week, four times monthly. Coaching sessions, optimally, are weekly, lasting approximately 1 hour. Tele-coaching calls are generally thirty minutes in length with email support. Because the power, effectiveness and results of the coaching relationship are established over time, with the benefits occurring between the sessions, coaching services are generally contracted for a period of time. A three month initial commitment is considered optimal for life change. After that the coaching contract is renewed on a monthly basis. This is a standard scenario, however, the time involved varies according to individual requirements. Every individual and situation is unique requiring varying personal strategies for on-going coaching. The outcome desired will determine the optimal time commitment to the coaching process. It could be a short as a few hours to, perhaps, fine tune communication skills, to regularly scheduled sessions over a year to shift ones self into a whole new paradigm of being.

 

Prior to or at each session, the client and coach decide upon the agenda, comprising of:

 

1.  A review of goals from the previous session and what was learnt from the action taken
2.  Issues to be covered at current session
3.  Questions from the coach to unlock solutions from the client about these issues
4.  New goals, dates and actions are agreed upon, at the end of each session


The coaching relationship provides a foundation for you to make changes by honoring your deep knowing and by acknowledging your aspirations as well as your dissatisfactions as valid and powerful springboards to a more fulfilling and meaningful life. A coach is totally curious about who you are and what you want .. and is trained to listen and ask questions that support you in knowing yourself. Personal coaching invites you to become what you envision, to explore the possibilities, to formulate a plan, to make a commitment and to take action.  The effectiveness of the coaching partnership is determined by the level of involvement and openness in doing things differently while moving towards the agreed to desired outcome.
